Reviews for Getting Started the Moview With Tommy Lee Jones
Did a 5th grader write and direct this immature nonsense?
I could not believe the shockingly low score for this film with such an all star cast. Once I saw it, I realized it was in fact deserving of the 3.8 IMDb rating, and only and so loftier, from the sympathetic votes for these A-listers when they realized what they had signed up for.
So here'due south what I recollect happened. Ron Shelton'due south fifth grade grandson wrote and directed this nonsense only was too young to be named in the credits, so grandpa steps in and enters his name.
Adjacent, Waze (the phone GPS app that was product-mentioned) funded this 5th graders film, and paid these A-list actors their wages so people will become see this mess, and then exit the theater and download their app.
What else can it exist? These huge actors did their worst... they hardly made an effort. The entire fix was probably the after-party set up for when filming wrapped, just for the A-listers to have incentive to exercise some type of performance.
The directing and editing was, well, that of a 5th grader.
What a waste of talent on such a garbage screenplay.
A sympathetic 3/10 from me, only for the all star cast that got duped into making this nonsense.

Bring out the Geritol
I had high hopes for this movie, they didn't terminal very long. It'due south almost interesting when information technology starts out but it takes a long time to become anywhere. I have a lot of respect for nearly these actors just I fear some of them are manner by their prime. When Tommy Lee Jones walks he looks similar he'southward in terrible hurting, I get it, I have articulation pain from arthritis to but it's distracting to see on the screen.
The writing is very unrealistic, the characters are so fake. What is Renee Russo doing in this movie? She'south too young to be hanging out with these former farts. It'due south sad with all the talent hired on to practise this motion picture they didn't have better fabric to work with. The writing is only plainly bad. Obviously near of these actors simply did this for a paycheck, they put their time and went home. There is nada special well-nigh this movie. To be honest, I wouldn't even watch it on broadcast TV it was and then disappointing.

A Waste of Time
Warning: Spoilers
At first glance, it seems equally if "Merely Getting Started" is going to resemble one of the old Bob Hope and Bing Crosby collaborations from decades ago-two fancy-free con men ambling along in search of a life of ease, avoiding responsibility and matrimonial entanglements by relying largely on their wits and their engaging personalities.
Only before you get-go getting excited by a sense of nostalgia, you might want to remember that the Hope and Crosby comedies coasted along on the near threadbare of plots, leaning instead on the rapport between the 2 stars and their frequently unscripted and improvised dialogue, which mostly consisted of in-jokes and references to each other's entertainment personas.
And that'due south i of the many problems of "Only Getting Started"-different Hope and Crosby, stars Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones take absolutely no chemistry in their scenes together. While the dialogue in the pic might seem spontaneous and unscripted, it's not-information technology merely isn't funny. And as anyone knows who's seen either Jones or Freeman actualization on a television talk show, without a script in his hands neither thespian has a corking deal of personality to contribute to the party.
"Just Getting Started" has no discernible plot-there'southward barely even a pulse. Every bit a result, the picture subsequently a while begins to resemble one long and pointless one-act sketch rejected past some obscure television variety show from the 1970s. Worse, Freeman and Jones often complain and mumble their lines inaudibly, under their breath, as if they're embarrassed.
They have reason to be-writer and managing director Ron Shelton has created for the 2 aging stars a script which meanders all over the screen. The story seems to travel in one management for a few minutes, then wanders off in another direction, and so repeats the blueprint over again and once again until we don't really know what the picture's about. Is information technology a mob comedy? A satire?
Rene Russo, cast in the function Dorothy Lamour would've played in a Hope and Crosby one-act, at least gives the movie her best endeavour-in marked dissimilarity to Jones and Freeman, Russo seems to exist pointedly enunciating her lines, but in the process she likewise unfortunately removes every dramatic nuance or hint of intentional humor. And Jane Seymour in a guest-star role literally phones in her functioning-she has no scenes with any of the other actors, actualization almost unrecognized in elaborate wigs and slinky metallic outfits, shrieking with a Noo Yawk accent into a gilt telephone.
Dumped into 2146 theaters nationwide, "Merely Getting Started" has earned a ix% blessing rating from the critics on the Rotten Tomatoes website, and a score of 25 out of 100 on Metacritic, signaling generally unfavorable reviews. The more charitable audiences polled by CinemaScore assign the motion-picture show a C course.
"Just Getting Started" is a mess. Skip this one entirely, and relieve your money to buy extra Christmas gifts.

Freeman and Jones are entertaining to spotter, but that's simply because they're such practiced actors.
'Simply GETTING STARTED': Two and a One-half Stars (Out of Five)
An action-comedy buddy flick from writer/director Ron Shelton, who's previously helmed such popular sports-comedies equally 'BULL DURHAM','WHITE MEN Can'T JUMP' & 'TIN Cup' (as well as the action-comedy buddy moving picture 'HOLLYWOOD HOMICIDE'). The pic stars Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones equally an ex-mob lawyer, and an ex-FBI agent, that have to overcome their personal feud in order to survive a mafia hit at their retirement dwelling. The picture besides costars Rene Russo, Joe Pantoliano, George Wallace, Jane Seymour and the late Glenne Headly (in 1 of her final film performances). It's received mostly negative reviews from critics, and it's too underperformed at the Box Office so far as well. I establish it to be very mildly amusing, at times, but it'due south also mostly just a waste of fourth dimension.
Knuckles Diver (Freeman) is the most pop resident at villa Capri, a retirement home which he also helps run. That is until a new guest, named Leo (Jones), shows up. Leo rivals Knuckles at everything he's known for there, and the two engage in a bitter rivalry (even over women). That is until a mob hitman attempts to kill Diver, and the 2 must then put bated their dispute in order to survive.
I'll admit Freeman and Jones are both entertaining to watch, only that'due south only because they're such good actors. The duo is and so much amend than the material they're given here, and Ron Shelton has delivered much better material than this in the past. Mayhap information technology'due south because they're all getting and then former, but I know that Jones and Freeman can still do much better than this. They just need to learn to skip bad film roles.

I only give a rating for amuse and fun - confronting night and grim movies today.
I started with a two, but I give information technology a 3 for charm and moderate innocent fun - against so much of the garbage nighttime and grim superhero and political garbage movies filling the theaters today, merely seriously, how did this movie make it to the theaters? The Director/Author along with the Editor should take their salaries docked for such lousy work. I mean accented garbage efforts --- in all 3 - writing - directing (which allowed poor acting from taking the worst cuts - and editing -- the accented worst. They managed to take three primary-stream super star actors and well-nigh ruin their careers (likely not) with this VERY poorly written, VERY poorly directed and oh my gosh.. I tin can't say it enough.. the editing is the worst. Talk nearly rush rush and no substance to the story development. The only thing I truly liked about this movie was the colorful and sun-filled backdrop of the location it was filmed fabricated it fun to sit down through, and seeing the faces of Jones, Russo and Freeman -- three actors I who's work I accept enjoyed so much over the decades, along with many supporting roles of some big names -- made information technology watchable. But that's it. Glad this was gifted to me, and I didn't pay to go see this movie on my own dime.

A grinning now and once more, but nothing really funny.
apjc 22 February 2018
An excellent cast who may have had nothing better to do than pay the bills. There are no laugh out loud moments, It seems to centre on older men being every bit competitive as young men, boys will exist boys. But the whole plot and comic moments are so lame it never gets above mediocre. Not terrible, just not really worth watching.

Not equally bad as people say!
Crazy how one-time and so much of the cast is older and then I know of them. I appreciate cheesy films once in awhile they are a perfect guilty pleasure to me! Such an odd story about greedy people and empty-headed relationships; not much to it. I loved Glenne Headly unfortunate she passed away non long after this. I respect Ron Shelton's work equally author/director too.

Xx years too late for this non starter?.....
Warning: Spoilers
Knuckles is the manager of a luxury Palm Springs retirement resort, Villa Capri.
Information technology's Christmas in the desert, and Duke's the large man on campus, until mannerly former military man Leo arrives and threatens to become the new alpha male.
When regional director Suzie shows up to look into some improper finances, both men plough on the charm to assert their status equally top dog.
But what starts as a friendly rivalry, turns serious when men from Duke's past come dorsum to haunt him, and kidnap Suzie in the procedure. Putting their rivalry aside, Knuckles and Leo come together to rescue Suzie, terminate whoever is trying to impale them.......
20 years agone, this would have been a more prolific moving picture, everyone who is in it could have easily had their roles, and more than likely, information technology would have had more work put into the writing and ultimately been something a little more edgier than it'south finished production.
At that place'southward no demand to waffle on about the bandage, they are all brilliant in their own right, merely hither, they are conspicuously on autopilot to pick up an easy pay check, and to enjoy a well earned holiday.
Jones plays every character he ever has in a comedy, you can tell this because he spends the bulk of the film in a silly hat and sunglasses, Freeman plays the dude with swagger, and Russo is nothing more than a plot point to go the ii male person leads to have a piddling banter.
Shelton has made some wonderful films in his career, merely of late, he's gone style off track, and this has to be i of his worst efforts.
Information technology's never funny, the action is as lethargic as it'south bandage, and information technology's biggest problem is that information technology's likewise laid dorsum for its own good, relient on the cast and the one sheet to depict in the grey pound.
Ironically, it never gets started, its xx years too late, and you know when the most exciting part of a motion picture consists of a fat human being sitting on a tub with a snake in it, there's little to save this bomb.

I think many of these reviewers are prejudiced against an older cast
Was this a not bad motion-picture show, no, simply it was totally enjoyable to sentry as I knew it had to be considering the bandage. Not just Jones & Freeman, simply Jane Seymour, George Wallace, Joe Pantoliano, & Glenne Headly in her final film. Certain information technology's a play on a plot that's been done before with a few twists, but with unlike players always dissimilar. If you want an 60 minutes & half of amusement and aren't predisposed to think one-time folks are has beens, bank check information technology out.

Haven't we all been hither several times before?
I know you lot know the drill past at present, One nice. charismatic fellow is the "go to" guy at the old folks home. All the ladies want to date him and all the single guys want to be him. Life is expert and going his way until a new comer comes out of nowhere to upset his happy piddling paradise and as a result he's yesterday'south news. As a result the adjacent 1hr & xv minutes are spent with our former #1 fellow trying in vain to prove he's withal #one. Simply put, this movie isn't funny at all, nope not in the least. Oh it'll make you smile here and there simply that's well-nigh it. The only thing this motion picture has going for it is star power merely fifty-fifty then the lines are weak and not responsive at best. My friend and I didn't laugh at all during the movie. A couple sitting near us got up and walked out roughly halfway through. Some other couple was heard saying "well that was a horrible motion-picture show" just as we walked past to leave. The more I thought about it no one else laughed at all during the entire movie either, not even once. Everything seemed so formulaic and exceedingly predictable and that's considering information technology painfully is. Oh did I mention the one time two adversaries eventually come to similar one another towards the end of the film, yeah well they practice, no surprise there. Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Renee Rouseau are all great actors and yet even they can't brand this film funny. My guess is its the writing and script as it don't give them any room to work with. Equally far as I'm concerned this film really should've had the direct to DVD release treatment, thus I'thousand merely giving it two stars and I honestly experience I'm being far too kind in doing even that. Scout something else instead, you've been warned!

Geriatric
Nothing against Jones or Freeman (his voiceover on a diverseness of scientific discipline docs are good), and I've seen near of what they've washed. So, the only manner this film is made is if the same are short on cash. Dialogue is middle schoolhouse level; action/drama (thankfully non much of it, and the residue was mostly run fourth dimension with talking heads) has been done before and much much better. Typical good guy/bad buy team up to best the adversary, and who cared. The rest of the screen time was a lot of geriatric oldies checking out slightly younger geriatric females w/tired old lines.

Enjoyable Movie!
I was VERY SURPRISED when I saw the the low reviews and EXTREMELY negative things that was said about this movie. It isn't a Oscar winning time past no means, but information technology DOES NOT deserve the bad things that have been written hither. The cast is really great and it'southward a fun and an enjoyable hour and a one-half. Like I said, it'southward no "barn burner" equally far as innovation of movie plots, only information technology'southward funny at times and cute to encounter these actors can be empty-headed and take a fun time. And so to the others that are so mean and negative about information technology, LIGHTEN Upwards! It's a movie!

Don't Even Start
As I've just recently been to a film festival where I watched a agglomeration of films knowing very niggling (if anything) in advance about the movement motion picture I was about to encounter and even so enjoyed every single one of them, I made a grave mistake thinking it could be like that with Hollywood productions. Well. Actually no. I was not thinking at all. My bad. Guess I was already in the zone for a brainless entertainment. Perfect for a demented zombie suffering from Alzheimers' disease. And I do not mean to belittle pensioners and seniors, but information technology seemed like this nursing home picture show was intended for the nappy wearing 9 month olds than their xc year onetime counterparts.
Truth to be told, I am a fiddling likewise harsh on it, but only because the film was besides damn basic and one dimensional. From the headlining Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones I was expecting something in the vein of 'Bucket List' perhaps. Frankly I didn't even know it was a Christmas film, which made information technology fifty-fifty worse. And though I guess my own ignorance is to blame for that one, it's still unforgivable to waste their talent on a moving-picture show such as this. Christmas or non.
Perhaps the film will still be enjoyed by a few people, but in a week information technology will be forgotten and in years to come no TV channel will ever broadcast it over another 'Die Hard' or 'Wonderful Life' and the only identify you could find it would possibly be the old folks homes for rich people. All the same I bet they even so have more interesting stuff to practise than to watch this one. It might be more entertaining to exist shown in a retirement habitation for poorer people, at least they could entertain themselves by bitching about the luxury lifestyle that they're missing.
Avert this ane like decease.

fun premise... script needs a melody-up
Morgan Freeman and Tommy Jones... buddy movie, good guys against the mob. When shenanigans starting time happening in a palm springs senior living dwelling house community, "corporate" sends someone down to cheque information technology out ( Rene Russo, who was awesome in the remake of Thomas Crown). The first two thirds of the film are just lite weight fluff, which i recollect it why information technology got such low ratings on imdb; the terminal third, there's more story, more than meat on the bones. And we detect out what Duke is really up to. Jones and Freeman start as enemies, but afterwards on, they team upwardly to do a task that needs to be washed. Kind of anti-climatic, but it does come up to an end. With the weird scenery, it looks like they sent a film coiffure to picture the windmills, the tram, and palm canyon, but i'm guessing virtually of it was washed on the lot. Would have been more fun if they actually showed the cast at the windmills, or the tram. Or on palm canyon. Ah well. Its light and fluffy. Just then-so. Written and directed past Ron Shelton. Balderdash Durham.

Amazing bandage. What happened??

REVIEW: You'd recollect that a movie starring Tommy Lee Jones and Morgan Freeman would be at to the lowest degree alright but yous'd exist wrong. The story wasn't something new. It wasn't funny or entertaining. The only thing that I liked was Leo'southward Red Ford Ranger (it was beautiful af). I don't call back much of what happened which is probably because my brain didn't want to keep it.

Not ready for production
"Just Getting Started" seems like some sort of sardonic respond to a question about how the screenplay is progressing. Unfortunately, the movie has already been filmed, edited and released without the major re-write needed to convert it into a truly enjoyable cinematic feel.
Information technology lacks a protagonist, a hero. If one accepts the view that the hero is the character who undergoes the most emotional growth during the moving-picture show, that role would probably be that of Rene Russo'due south Suzie. If one considers the protagonist to be the central character, it would be Morgan Freeman's Duke. If one argues that the hero is the character that the audition roots for and hopes to achieve his goals, it would probably be Tommy Lee Jones'due south Leo.
Information technology also lacks a villain. Suzie seems as if she might be a villain or antagonist, but turns out to be more of what is chosen a contagonist in Dramatica theory. Leo seems like an antagonist, but is more of a sidekick or co-protagonist in a buddy movie and eventually evolves into a guardian. Jane Seymour plays the aptly yclept Delilah, the shrewish wife of an imprisoned gangster who dispatches an unidentified assassin to murder Duke in an opening scene, only the assassin is likewise inept to pose a realistic threat and hardly a friction match for a pair of septuagenarians.
To compensate for this lack of clearly-defined central characters, the picture offers two trios of supporting characters in three sidekicks and iii love interests.
The picture show was written and directed by Ron Shelton who, back in the nineties, wrote and directed a cord of comedies I've never seen or simply vaguely call back, including "Balderdash Durham" and "Tin Loving cup," and wrote a couple of films I have seen, "Bad Boys 2" and "The Great White Hype." TGWH was agreeable, until information technology simply ended with a sort of deus ex machina plough of events that ran counter to the management the narrative seemed to pursue. JGS suffers from the aforementioned malaise. Information technology doesn't go anywhere. There is no recognizable moral or theme, no graphic symbol arcs. Everyone, similar myself, who likes a traditional storyline, with a sympathetic hero who must acquire new knowledge, skills, friends, or any, to overcome a seemingly insurmountable challenge or obstacle, will likely be disappointed.
JGS is i of the to the lowest degree agreeable comedies I've seen in a long while. The thought of Morgan Freeman as an aging Lothario juggling the attentions of three oversexed senior citizens has potential, but falls flat in execution. A seminar on group sex for senior citizens could take been milked mercilessly, simply is reduced to a one-liner. The disharmonize between the conflict between a roguish but likeable manager with his fingers in the till confronting a straight-laced, authoritarian efficiency skillful seems like fertile grounds left fallow. The rivalry between two septuagenarians for a lady's amore might accept been much funnier, if the Suzie were played by a much younger extra, perhaps in her late thirties, rather than an actress in her sixties, possibly with additional competition from a much younger suitor. Instead, they went for a politically-correct historic period-appropriate human relationship and basically disqualified 1 of the suitors for unrelated reasons.
Production values are adequate and the actors do too as tin be expected with the material they were provided, but the script wasn't set for production.

Just Getting Rushed
It's the vacation season, and a weird one at that, as movies are shuffled around in an attempt to capitalize with Star Wars on the approach. After a few drops from my theater, yours truly finally got a new pic in to review. Today's focus is on Just Getting Started, a retirement community moving picture with the legendary Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones leading the way into what is hope to be comedic fun. Can the fourth dimension-honored veterans bring this film upwards to lawmaking, or does it fail like so many comedies this year? Robbie K is dorsum with another review to assistance guide your viewing pleasure. Here we go!
LIKES:
Former Time Amuse: Say what you want nigh the film, but with archetype actors like Freeman and Jones yous become that kind of amuse they brought to their films long ago. Freeman has amuse, dapper mannerisms, sarcastic delivery, and that energy that is famous with him. Like Driving Ms. Daisy with a twist of the Shawshank mixed in to brand an interesting graphic symbol that acts as the base of the flick. While Lee brings his usual wit into the mix, including sarcasm, dry delivery, and that neutral expression that makes him so famous. With these styles, the directors were able to cast a movie that flowed well with the temper that will certainly please older audience members and fans of the duo. Therefore, you lot can guess that this is a friendly moving picture to a wide spectrum of ages, especially ones who like older slapstick styles.
The Twist on The Story: Despite what the trailers promised, this movie has a little more of a crime twist than expected. While not the darkest shadow in the world of crime, Merely Getting Started had an underlying sub story tailing that rivalry of Freeman and Jones. The added mystery helped keep my interest, and kept me engaged in what could have been a bland endeavour to recreate Grumpy Former Men. Throw in the try at romance equally well and y'all get 3 stories that semi-integrate together to keep things as dynamic equally they could exist.
Pace: Movie movies fast, and at that place isn't much more to say nigh this. No dragged at story details, no torturous long treks, simply a very concise journey through living in a beautiful scenery retirement community and trying to be the top dog. Yay!
DISLIKES:
Dropped Story Elements: Despite the twist, Just Getting Started, seemed to have just initiated the plot of the moving-picture show, because there was trivial development in many of the stories that they introduced. Freeman's character evidently had more hidden secrets than let on, just you lot don't find out about them and his antagonist does petty in the pic exterior of whining and lackluster threats. Lee's graphic symbol also held the big secrets up until the terminate of the movie, but the revelation was irksome, lazily idea, and not timed well for the reveal with all the suspense. It'due south some other case of sick-designed story telling that Hollywood keeps ditching, which is distressing given where these guys came from.
Lackluster climax/Ill-plumbing fixtures plots: With all those stories, the movie needed some work in keeping the details together and keeping it relevant to the movie overall. At the start it kind of worked, but soon the criminal offense suspense started feeling out of place to the romance and slapstick that became the focus of the movie. Therefore, the twist didn't work out as much every bit I had hoped. In improver, the exciting climax was dull, rushed, and merely a device to wrap upward their loose ends in the short time limit. Cute and friendly equally it was, it didn't need to be in in that location.
Mediocre Comedy: I know, you might be surprised at this given how legendary these actors are. Unfortunately, Just Getting Started has very simplistic writing that lacks zest, timing, and that dial y'all desire in a comedy. Part of information technology goes to focusing on too many stories in one setting clouding the comedy with attempts at secrecy. The 2nd is playing information technology as well safe and not injecting wit into the lines to maximize the laughs, instead going for nonverbal comedy, old jokes that got old, and some barrack that would take other comedy classics twirling in their graves. Had they focused on the one-act aspect a little more, and steered away from being old and having a sex bulldoze, information technology might have been received better.
The Verdict:
Deep down the motion-picture show is a fun revisit into the family-friendly trek through the golden ages that proves you tin can take life even after fifty. While the charm is there, the pace is fast, and at that place is a twist, the movie fails at balancing these qualities to deliver what the trailers wanted. It's non the funniest due to the unfocused presentation of crime, romance, and slapstick, feeling like a water down version of grumpy old men/bucket list. All the same, it's cute and wholesome and volition leave many older audition members, and fans of these actors satiated at the terminate of the twenty-four hours. My opinion, this film is all-time left to renting at home and watching at the holidays.
My scores:
Action/Comedy: 6.0 Flick Overall: 5.0

Unfunny mishmash buddy comedy (of sorts) that got lost in translation
"Just Getting Started" was directed past Ron Shelton. Information technology's his first film since 2003's and it shows that he isn't quite on his A game. For the actors, this is one of those films where it's obvious that everyone involved is in it for the paycheck. There is no life to this senior comedy, not whatever. Whats worse is that movie really goes down the drain in the final thirty minutes, when information technology suddenly becomes an action movie. Don't waste your time on information technology, because it is a laugh less comedy, an excitement-free action moving-picture show and an unromantic dearest story.

Warning: Spoilers
I saw "Simply Getting Started", starring Morgan Freeman-Olympus Has Fallen, The Dark Knight movies; Tommy Lee Jones-Captain America:The First Avenger, Batman Forever; Rene Russo-The Thor movies, the Lethal Weapon movies and Jane Seymour-Fifty Shades of Blackness, Wedding Crashers. This is not a bad movie but it is pretty generic. Kind of like watching a Tv sit-com or movie of the calendar week. Morgan plays a guy that is living it up at a Palm Springs retirement abode. In fact, he is the managing director of the place. Jane plays a mobsters' wife that sees Morgan on Idiot box and recognizes him as the guy who ratted out her husband, who happens to exist in jail now. Y'all see-and I'm non giving annihilation away here, it's in the trailer-Morgan is in witness protection. Yep, he is the rat that Jane saw on Tv. Nearly this time, Tommy shows upwardly and moves in on Morgan's territory by existence meliorate at everything than Morgan is- poker, golf, even the women beginning fawning over Tommy. Then, Rene shows up. She is from corporate and is reviewing Morgan'south job functioning-if it'south non good, he could get fired. Of a sudden, attempts are fabricated on Morgan's life. The question pops up; is i of the new arrivals a hit-human aiming to put Morgan six anxiety under? Or, could it be someone else? All the actors are likable and competent in their roles. Information technology'due south only.... it's like watching The Love Boat or something-you know with all these recognizable older actors showing up in small cameo rolls. Information technology'southward rated "PG-13" for linguistic communication, violence and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 31 minutes. I wouldn't buy it on DVD. I wouldn't rent it either. If you want to see it, I'd wait until information technology comes to cable TV.

Just getting started, never actually got started.
Alert: Spoilers
I'one thousand a huge Tommy Lee Jones and Morgan Freeman fan. They are both fantastic actors, however this film is non their finest work. The plot is an overall familiar one, 2 charismatic guys fight for the attention of a woman. She ultimately picks i and the other finishes with the consolation prize but finds happiness in that. Throw in the fact that someone is trying and failing to kill Freemans character in a comedic mode and the lx/70 year olds acting like horny teenagers that pretty much gives y'all the whole story.
The writing was poor, it felt like information technology was left wanting. The story never really went anywhere and the niggling plot it did have was massively dragged out. At that place are a few chuckle moments but they are few and far between. I'grand non certain if it is meant to be a Christmas movie or if they just needed a vacation to use to aid the script along but it felt pointless including the Christmas chemical element in to the story.
The film isn't completely atrocious, its just not annihilation special. I've only given it a 4 out of x mostly out of respect and honey for Jones and Freeman. Don't lookout man it if you have something else to lookout.

Difficult to believe three perfectly capable actors signed on for this project. Did they not read the script? We're they only in information technology for the paycheck. There merely is nothing about this film that makes it worth watching (although I did). Poorly acted, miserably directed, badly written. Just. Stay. Away.

Warning: Spoilers
A adult female wearing an ankle monitor in New Jersey sees Duke Diver (Morgan Freeman) on TV and orders a hit on him. He is the resident manager of a retirement community. He is the proverbial rooster in the hen business firm until Tommy Lee Jones shows upward and challenges him for superlative honors. Rene Russo enters the picture as each man wants to "courtroom her."
The motion picture was a light situational comedy, reminiscent of the 60's era. Good "clean" entertainment that has adult themes and situations.
Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

It is what it is, and it is nicely consistent
I read the reviews, but commencement I need to say that this is not my kind of movie. I ended up seeing it out of edition work.
That beingness said, I found it quite squeamish and accommodating, for it is about old age and Christmas, and how things take a different feature when you know what is coming - fast in your instance if you are at the cease of your road. Swell actors and actresses who are finally at that place - likewise one-time to stone'northward'gyre, also young to dice - and that went on this motion picture for the pleasure of still be riding.
If you expected anything unlike or more of it, the problem is yours - either yous're not seasoned notwithstanding to appreciate the irony or but as well out of your métier.
